Mazda CX-6e European pricing revealed: range, specs, premium focus
Mazda has announced European pricing for the new CX-6e, an all-electric SUV developed in partnership with China’s Changan. In France, the model starts at €48,600, while the Takumi Plus version is priced at €49,800, putting the newcomer noticeably above the Tesla Model Y in comparable specifications. On paper, Tesla offers both greater range and stronger acceleration, while Mazda focuses on design and the sense of a premium product. That positioning clearly targets buyers who care as much about how a car feels as about the stopwatch figures.
The CX-6e is powered by a 258 hp motor and a 78 kWh LFP battery that delivers up to 484 km of WLTP range. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, and DC charging from 10 to 80% takes 24 minutes at up to 195 kW. Equipment is a major focus: even the Takumi entry trim brings 19-inch wheels, a 26-inch multimedia display, adaptive cruise control, a panoramic roof, a 23-speaker audio system, and a full set of driver assists. Takumi Plus adds 21-inch wheels and digital mirrors. The generous spec helps explain the pricing and underscores Mazda’s strategy of selling tactile appeal and perceived quality alongside the numbers.
