Ford Racing to reveal teaser for a new road-legal sports car on January 15, 2026

Ford Racing is preparing to launch a new road-legal production sports car. The company has officially confirmed it will reveal the first teaser of the upcoming model on January 15, 2026, while keeping both the format and the technical details under wraps.

Today’s Ford Performance lineup already spans standouts—from the Mustang Dark Horse and the extreme Mustang GTD to the off-road Raptor variants. Yet this new project is billed as a separate road-going sports car developed under the Ford Racing banner, which naturally pushes expectations higher. Framed as its own program rather than a spin-off, it sounds like something more substantial than a trim-and-decals special.

Official information remains scarce, but Ford boss Jim Farley has previously hinted at the possibility of a performance model with rally roots. That nudge has stirred talk of an unusual all-weather sports car, or even a Mustang shaped by the Raptor mindset. At the same time, some fans are hoping for a revived Ford GT or a new GT500.
