Zeekr 8X technical specifications and features overview
Key technical specifications for the new Zeekr 8X have been prematurely revealed in China. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the model will be offered with two traction battery options: 55.1 kWh and 70 kWh. Both batteries use ternary lithium chemistry and are likely to feature the 6C ultra-fast charging system already familiar from the Zeekr 9X.
Depending on the version, the Zeekr 8X will be able to travel 256, 257, or 328 km in all-electric mode. Even the minimum figure looks impressive, while the maximum one puts the model among the longest-range plug-in hybrids on the market. These values are expected to be based on the WLTC cycle.
Externally, the crossover largely follows the Zeekr 9X. It features a massive radiator grille with chrome elements, split headlights, and a lidar above the windshield. This indicates the presence of advanced driver assistance systems, including urban and highway autopilot, as well as enhanced parking functions.
The dimensions of the Zeekr 8X are 5100 x 1998 x 1780 mm with a wheelbase of 3069 mm, making it slightly more compact than the 9X. The options list includes a 'black' styling package, electric running boards, and a retractable towbar with a permissible towing capacity of up to 2000 kg.
The powertrain is based on a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 205 kW. In the future, a version with a three-motor electric drive, Haohan AI digital chassis, and 48V active stabilizers is expected, highlighting the model's high-tech status.
If real-world figures confirm the claimed 320+ km of electric range, the Zeekr 8X could reshape perceptions of PHEV crossovers and become a serious alternative to pure electric vehicles.
