2026 Honda Passport: TrailSport trim enhances off-road adventure

A GearJunkie editor said the 2026 Honda Passport is an all-new model with a more aggressive look and improved off-road capabilities, especially in the TrailSport trim. It launched in early 2025 and, despite lacking a low-range transfer case, packs numerous appealing off-road features that make it genuinely adventure-ready. All these details combine to create an impressively civilized and functional vehicle for both on-road and off-road driving.

The annual GearJunkie Best Adventure Vehicle of the Year award recognizes the top off-road and 4WD vehicles introduced to the market over the past 12 months. This year, after testing many new adventure vehicles, the GearJunkie editorial team highlighted eight models, naming each the best in its category.

The 2026 Passport comes standard with a V6 engine and i-VTM4 all-wheel drive. It is available in three well-equipped versions: RTL, TrailSport, and TrailSport Elite.
