Renault Megane E-Tech Facelift Prototype Spotted
A camouflaged prototype of the Renault Megane E-Tech facelift has been spotted. The 2027 update could feature larger batteries and refreshed styling. Read more.
Renault is preparing a facelift for the electric Megane E-Tech. The compact electric crossover launched about four years ago, and its updated version is expected to arrive in 2027, according to Carscoops.
A heavily camouflaged prototype has already been spotted testing, so design details remain hidden. What is clear is that the car retains the general shape of the current Megane E-Tech. The styling could be brought closer to newer Renault models such as the Symbioz and Scenic E-Tech.
Technical changes have not been confirmed. Currently, the Megane E-Tech is offered with 40 and 60 kWh battery packs. Renault may increase battery capacity, as the larger Scenic E-Tech already features an 87 kWh unit.
The Megane E-Tech rides on the AmpR Medium platform, which also underpins the Nissan Ariya and Leaf. Those models offer 90 and 75 kWh batteries respectively, suggesting room for an upgrade. Among new cars for 2026, the Megane E-Tech still looks relevant, but the facelift should strengthen its position. The current version’s maximum range is around 450 km.
