Renault Koleos continues in Australia despite declining sales
Renault confirms Koleos SUV continues in Australia despite aging model. Sales drop to 242 units in 2024, yet it's brand's second-best seller. Future of successor unclear.
Renault has confirmed that the Koleos will continue to be sold in Australia, despite its aging underpinnings. The family SUV, which is approaching its tenth anniversary globally (nine years in Australia), remains the brand's second-best-selling model in the country behind the Master van.
In South Korea, where the Koleos is built, its indirect successor is the Grand Koleos, developed jointly with Geely. However, whether that model will reach the Australian right-hand-drive market remains uncertain. The company is weighing the feasibility in terms of cost and demand.
Koleos sales in Australia are declining. So far this year, just 242 units have been sold, compared with 7,571 examples of the Toyota RAV4. The Koleos starts at $36,990 drive-away.
