A 2005 Maserati MC12 fetched $9.46 million (approximately €8.14 million) at the Mecum Indy 2026 auction, setting a new public auction record for Maserati. The previous record was held by a 1955 Maserati 300S Sports-Racing Spider, which sold in 2013 for the equivalent of €4.65 million.

The MC12 was built in a limited run of just 50 road-legal cars between 2004 and 2005. Based on the Ferrari Enzo's underpinnings, it was developed to mark Maserati's return to the FIA GT championship. Beneath its carbon-fiber body lies a monocoque constructed from carbon and Nomex.
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 engine – the Ferrari-Maserati M144A – delivering 630 hp, paired with a six-speed Cambiocorsa robotic gearbox. Top speed is 345 km/h. For its era, these were race-car figures, simply adapted for the street.

This particular car belongs to the 2005 production run of 25 examples. It wears a two-tone paint scheme of Bianco Fuji over Blu Victory, complemented by a blue leather interior with silver and gray accents. It has EPA approval for U.S. import and is registered in Washington state. The odometer shows just 515 km.
