Stellantis confirms Maserati will not be sold. Under the FaSTLAne plan, the luxury brand gets new SUV and coupe models and a concept at Paris Motor Show 2026.

Stellantis has put an end to speculation about Maserati's future. The historic Italian marque won’t be sold or closed down. Under the new FaSTLAne 2030 plan, it will get fresh models and a dedicated role in the luxury segment.

The Stellantis strategy runs through 2030 and is backed by €60 billion in investments. The group promises over 60 new models and 50 updates across its brands. Maserati will be part of that product wave, though specifics are still scarce.

The brand is preparing two new E-segment models. One is expected to be an SUV, the other likely a sports coupe. Details on powertrains remain under wraps, but given the current luxury car market, Maserati probably won’t go all-in on pure EVs. Buyers in this class still crave more than just eco-friendliness—they want character, sound, power, and the feeling of owning something rare.

The next major milestone is the Paris Motor Show in October 2026. Maserati will unveil a concept there that sets a new design direction. Then, in December in Modena, the brand will lay out its road map to 2030 and share more details on its two upcoming models.

For Maserati, this is a chance to move beyond limbo. Heritage talk alone won’t cut it anymore. The brand needs cars that compete on real consumer demand, not on past glory.
