Tesla price cuts in France: Model Y and Model 3 discounts explained
Tesla slashes prices for Model Y and Model 3 in France with Tesla Boost promotion, trade-in bonuses, and subsidies. Learn about discounts, equipment changes, and promotion details.
Following a disappointing 2025 in Europe, Tesla is adopting an aggressive strategy. In France, the brand has revived its Tesla Boost promotion, slashing prices for the Model Y and Model 3 through direct discounts, trade-in bonuses, and government subsidies.
How the new price is calculated
The Model Y benefits from a €3,500 Tesla Boost discount, plus an additional €3,000 trade-in bonus. This alone brings the base crossover version down to €33,490. Additionally, the model qualifies for state subsidies since it's manufactured in Germany. Depending on household income, this support can reach up to €5,700, lowering the final price to €31,290.
What buyers sacrifice for the discount
The most affordable Model Y version now features simplified equipment. Options removed include decorative LED ambient lighting, heated rear seats, a second-row passenger screen, and a heated steering wheel. However, key elements are retained—the large central display, heated front seats, and adaptive cruise control—ensuring core functionality remains intact.
Alternatives and promotion timeline
The Model Y Long Range version has also seen a price cut of nearly €6,600, dropping to €40,390, while offering up to 622 km of WLTP range and fast charging up to 250 kW. A similar program applies to the Model 3.
The promotion runs until March 31, 2026, and is currently limited to France. However, Tesla is expected to potentially launch it in other European countries, including Spain.
