Specialty Vehicle Engineering has unveiled one of the most radical versions of the heavy-duty GMC pickup—the 2026 model year 1000HP Sport Edition Supercharged Sierra HD. This limited run of just 50 trucks pushes the Sierra far beyond factory capabilities, transforming it into a four-digit horsepower monster.

At the heart of the project is a new 6.8-liter V8, boosted to 1,000 horsepower. SVE engineers start with a blueprint block, balance the rotating assembly for racing loads, and install forged pistons, a steel crankshaft, upgraded cylinder heads, and their own high-performance supercharger. The package is completed with a stainless steel exhaust system. A Boost-By-Wire system adjusts boost pressure based on throttle position, making this powerful pickup predictable in city driving and sharp on demand.

The package is available for the 2026 Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD in Crew Cab and Double Cab configurations, with any bed length, but only for gasoline models equipped with a single rear axle. It works with the standard 10-speed automatic transmission and can be calibrated for 91 or 93 octane fuel.

Exterior changes include signature wheels, increased ground clearance, special hood inserts, and "1000HP" badging on the tailgate. Inside, you'll find Sport Edition embroidered headrests, floor mats, and custom trim.

Orders are placed exclusively through GM dealers. SVE has not disclosed pricing, but the limited nature of the series—just 50 units—suggests it will become a collector's item, aimed at those for whom 400 or even 500 horsepower is merely a warm-up.
