SEMA 2025 in Las Vegas played host to one of the most formidable restomods in recent memory: the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Hybrid Hypercar Project. The California outfit Blazin Rodz set out to meld vintage charm with cutting-edge hardware, and the result aims squarely at enthusiasts who want nostalgia without giving up modern performance.

Under the hood sits a 5.8‑liter NASCAR-derived R07 V8 with twin turbos rated at 1,300 hp, paired with a 300-hp electric motor. The combined output reaches 1,600 hp, with a claimed top speed of 210 mph. On paper, that propulsion mix pushes the build deep into hypercar territory, and the electric assist looks more like a serious performance layer than a token add-on.

The model is set to feature a carbon-fiber body, an adaptive suspension with air elements, and a patented stiffness-control system. Pricing starts at $1.6 million, reinforcing the car’s bespoke, low-volume intent.

The manufacturer noted that production will be limited. This hybrid Camaro is already being described as one of 2026’s standout sports cars, a blend of heritage and forward-looking tech that, if delivered as presented, seems destined to turn heads.
