Bentley's new electric SUV: details, specs, and 2026 launch
Discover Bentley's first fully electric SUV, the Urban SUV, set for 2026. Built on the PPE platform, it offers up to 639 hp and compact design under 5 meters.
Bentley is preparing to debut its second SUV in history, which will also be the brand's first fully electric vehicle. Set to hit the market in 2026, this new model will share neither construction nor positioning with the Bentayga. Prototypes are already undergoing road testing, as confirmed by spy photos.
Internally dubbed the Urban SUV, the car isn't solely focused on city driving. Preliminary data suggests a length under 5 meters—around 4.8 meters, making it notably more compact than the Bentayga. Yet it retains classic SUV proportions: a long hood and an extended wheelbase to accommodate the traction battery in the floor.
The electric Bentley SUV will be built on Volkswagen Group's modular PPE platform, an architecture already used in the Audi A6 e-tron, Q6 e-tron, and Porsche Macan Electric. Its exterior remains heavily camouflaged, but narrow rear lighting, four-element front optics, and protruding door handles are visible.
Technical specifications haven't been officially revealed. There's a possibility of powertrains similar to the top-tier Porsche Macan Electric, with up to 639 horsepower. This model is expected to be a key highlight at auto shows and a crucial part of Bentley's strategy for the 2026 vehicle lineup.
