Mercedes-Benz has expanded its electric CLA lineup by introducing the new CLA 250 with an intermediate-capacity battery. Previously, the model was available with 58 kWh and 85 kWh batteries; now, a 71 kWh variant sits between them.

The new Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 features a 272-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle, identical to the CLA 250+. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The key difference lies in the battery: with a 71 kWh unit, the claimed range is 673 km, which logically positions the new model between the CLA 200 and CLA 250+.

For comparison, the CLA 200 with a 58 kWh battery offers up to 658 km of range, while the CLA 250+ with an 85 kWh battery achieves up to 791 km. This makes the CLA 250 a balanced choice for both range and price. In the Business Solution trim, it starts at €51,134, placing it squarely between the CLA 200 and CLA 250+. For buyers seeking extended range without stepping up to the most expensive version, this model presents an attractive option.
