Opel has expanded the Zafira lineup with a new 2.2-liter diesel engine that meets the Euro 6e standard. This engine delivers 132 kW (180 hp) and 400 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

According to the manufacturer, the direct-injection motor features an optimized exhaust gas recirculation system, which helps reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 13% compared to earlier diesel versions. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 10.6 seconds, with a top speed of 185 km/h.

The engine is available in both the 4.98-meter and 5.33-meter versions of the minivan. In all configurations, including the electric variant, the Zafira can seat up to nine passengers. Electric sliding doors with sensors make it easier to access the second and third rows. In the long-wheelbase model, cargo space expands to 4,900 liters with the seats folded, making it a practical choice for small businesses or passenger transport.

Pricing for the Opel Zafira starts at €43,250. The new 2.2-liter diesel is also offered in the Opel Vivaro, including the Combi version.
