Designer Niels van Roij and his Autoforma division, in collaboration with Volvo Lotte specialist, have unveiled the Norrsken restomod program based on the Volvo 1800 ES. This project focuses on modernizing one of the Swedish brand's most iconic models.

The program involves lowering, widening, and technically updating the classic coupe. Clients can choose from three distinct execution directions. The Heritage Heaven version retains the classic character with minimal technical changes. Modern Marvel takes a more contemporary approach, adding LED optics, increased power, and a retuned suspension.

The most radical modification is Forward Fashionista. This version is performance-oriented and includes more significant technical upgrades, such as installing a modern five-cylinder T5 engine and an updated transmission.

Currently, the Norrsken program applies exclusively to the 1800 ES, not the standard P1800. This project highlights the growing interest in classic models through tuning that blends historical design with modern technology. Orders can be placed directly through the project participants.
