The 2026 Subaru Solterra EV arrives with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, opening the door to compatible Tesla Supercharger sites. This fall, owners of 2023–2025 Solterra EVs will be able to purchase a genuine Subaru fast-charging adapter (NACS) to tap into a wider network of DC fast chargers, including Tesla Superchargers. A timely move that should make life on the road noticeably easier.

Through the SubaruConnect app, Solterra drivers can set up payment for charging and locate available plugs via the Find Stations map. For the 2026 Solterra, battery preconditioning can kick in automatically when navigating to a DC fast charger using the built-in cloud navigation system, or be activated manually from the car’s touchscreen menu. That small layer of automation removes a common pain point and helps the car arrive at the charger ready to take on power quickly.

With preconditioning, the 2026 Subaru Solterra EV can charge to 80% in about 28 minutes, even in cold weather. The new model is rated for up to 465 km of range—figures that promise more confidence in winter and fewer stops on longer drives.
