The Nissan Murano has been named the most reliable midsize SUV for the second consecutive year, according to the J.D. Power 2026 Vehicle Dependability Study in the United States.

Now in its 37th year, the J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study surveys owners of three-year-old vehicles. They are asked about 184 potential problems across nine categories: infotainment systems, features, controls and displays, exterior, driver assistance systems, interior, powertrain, seats, driving experience, and climate control.

The new Nissan Murano debuted in late 2024. The 2026 model year Murano, based on this latest version, offers enhanced comfort, functionality, and premium characteristics.

In the U.S. market, the Murano lineup starts with the all-wheel-drive SV version, which has a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price of $41,670.
