Mate Rimac has stepped down as CEO of Rimac Technology to focus on his role as CEO of Bugatti, where he remains in charge. Nurdin Pitarevic, previously the company's COO, has been appointed as the new head of Rimac Technology.

Pitarevic has worked at Rimac for several years and has been involved in developing manufacturing processes and expanding the business. His former COO position will be taken over by Marko Brkljačić. Mate Rimac will retain his role as president of the company.

Rimac Technology is not just about producing the Nevera hypercar; it also supplies batteries and powertrain systems to automakers. The company collaborates with partners like BMW and Ceer Motors. In 2025, an agreement was signed with ProLogium Technology to jointly develop solid-state batteries.

The strategy through 2030 involves digitizing production using AI and advancing new generations of batteries. These leadership changes come as the business expands and strengthens its position in the new automotive sector for 2026, including projects in electrification and high-performance models.
