The SAIC Audi joint venture has unveiled the first official images of its new electric crossover, the AUDI E7X, under the slogan "Here it comes." The brand, traditionally associated with cutting-edge lighting technology, has emphasized optical design in its teasers, showcasing bright rectangular taillights and distinctive light graphics.

The production version largely follows the concept car and evolves the styling of the E5 Sportback, adapting it to a large SUV format. The vertical digital matrix LED headlights support high-precision projection functions and interaction with the environment. The model measures 5049 mm in length, 2002 mm in width, and 1708 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3060 mm, promising a spacious interior and imposing proportions.

The vehicle will be available with two powertrain versions, offering 300 kW and 500 kW of power, with torque figures of 500 Nm and 800 Nm respectively. Official prices have not been disclosed yet, but the E5 Sportback, with a starting price of 235,900 yuan, could serve as a reference point.

The E7X appears to be a serious bid by SAIC Audi to strengthen its position in the large electric SUV segment. If the brand can combine its striking "lighting" image with a competitive price and range, the model could become a notable player in the Chinese market.
