Chery launches new QQ3 electric vehicle with modern features
Discover the Chery QQ3, an affordable electric car with a 15.6-inch screen, AI cockpit, and semi-autonomous driving. Priced from €9,000, it offers up to 500 km range.
Chinese automaker Chery is preparing to launch the new QQ3 city electric vehicle. This model has become one of the most talked-about launches in the market, thanks to its combination of modern technology and a very low price—around €9,000–14,000. Despite its affordability, the car features quite advanced electronics.
Inside, it comes with a central multimedia system sporting a 15.6-inch screen and computing power of up to 128 TOPS. This system manages the Lingxi Smart Cockpit artificial intelligence platform, which enables voice control and driver-vehicle interaction.
The new QQ3 is also equipped with the Falcon 500 driver assistance system. It supports semi-autonomous driving functions, including an NOA system for navigating urban routes, automatic parking, and route memory navigation.
In terms of dimensions, this electric car fits into the compact city segment. It measures 4.19 meters in length, 1.81 meters in width, with a wheelbase of 2.7 meters, providing a sufficiently spacious cabin for daily trips. Power comes from a 90 kW electric motor, equivalent to about 122 horsepower. Energy is stored in a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery.
Exact range figures have not yet been disclosed, but it is expected to offer around 300–400 km, with a higher-end version potentially reaching about 500 km on the CLTC cycle. Interest in the model has been high even before official sales begin. According to Chinese sources, during the preliminary "blind" ordering phase, the car received over 10,000 applications in just 20 minutes.
Models like this highlight a new trend in the market: Chinese manufacturers are increasingly offering affordable electric vehicles with technologies that, until recently, were only available in more expensive segments. This could seriously shake up competition in the affordable car category.
