Subaru of America has announced that its new 2026 Subaru Outback has been named one of Autotrader's Best New Cars of 2026. Among hundreds of new vehicles available to consumers, Autotrader's experts selected the updated Outback for its functionality, practicality, and bold new design.

To make the list, editors chose vehicles that are innovative or offer significant value, and will be available to buyers within the next nine months for under $100,000.

The new 2026 Subaru Outback is already available with a starting MSRP of $34,995. It features a fresh design and updated technology, including a 12.1-inch Subaru touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster across all trims.

The Outback comes equipped with a 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER engine producing 180 horsepower, or a turbocharged 2.4-liter SUBARU BOXER engine with 260 horsepower. Both are paired with the standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, dual-function X-MODE, and a Lineartronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).
