Lucid Motors enters European market with new dealer partnership
Lucid Motors partners with Wackenhut in Germany to sell and service EVs, expanding its European presence with a hybrid sales model starting in 2026.
Lucid Motors, the American electric vehicle manufacturer, is entering a new phase of expansion in the European market. The company has announced a partnership with German dealer group Wackenhut, which will become its first independent retail partner in Europe.
Starting March 30, 2026, Wackenhut's dealership in Baden-Baden will begin selling and servicing the full Lucid lineup. Similar services are planned to launch in Stuttgart this summer.
This new sales strategy involves a hybrid model. Lucid will continue to use its own direct sales channels while bringing in independent dealers to boost its presence in key markets. Under this system, the company maintains control over brand positioning and pricing, while partners handle local sales and service.
Lucid already operates its own studios in Germany, located in Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg. Additionally, the brand is expanding its network of service centers and mobile service units to support customers.
Wackenhut Group is one of the largest premium dealerships in the Baden-Württemberg region. It manages eleven showrooms and already works with brands like Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG, Aston Martin, Smart, Skoda, and Fuso.
