Genesis has unveiled the high-performance version of its GV60 Magma electric crossover, specifically targeting the U.S. market. This model now stands as the most powerful in the brand's lineup, delivering over 640 horsepower and 790 Nm of torque.

Two electric motors propel the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, and it reaches 200 km/h in 10.9 seconds. Top speed is rated at 264 km/h. Peak power output reaches 650 PS (641 hp), with the motors capable of spinning up to 20,920 rpm. To enhance efficiency and dynamics, Genesis has implemented a new two-stage electric motor control system. The car also features a Boost mode that temporarily increases power output for 15 seconds.

The GV60 Magma offers five driving modes: Range, Comfort, Sport, Sprint, and GT. These allow drivers to tailor the vehicle's behavior for various conditions, from efficient commuting to track-focused performance. Additionally, the accelerator pedal has been recalibrated with adjusted pressure points to improve control precision and reduce driver fatigue.

This model highlights the ongoing evolution of the 2026 sports car segment, where electric vehicles are increasingly competing with high-performance machines through advanced software solutions and dynamic capabilities.
