Volkswagen has announced that its electric models will gain access to the Tesla Supercharger fast‑charging network. Starting November 18, 2025, owners of the ID.4 and ID.Buzz will be able to plug in using a dedicated adapter that bridges a CCS port to the NACS standard. The adapter will be offered online and through dealers. For 2025 vehicles, it is priced at $200 with a $100 refund available. All Volkswagen EVs from the 2026 model year will include the adapter as standard equipment. With more than 25,000 Supercharger fast‑charging points in the U.S., Tesla’s footprint meaningfully broadens charging options alongside Electrify America—an expansion that should make day‑to‑day planning feel less constrained.Owners will be able to find stations and pay through the Tesla app. The adapter is compatible only with DC chargers; AC Level 1 and Level 2 stations are not supported. For drivers who rely on public infrastructure and keep a close eye on Tesla’s charging prices during long trips, this wider access looks like a practical step forward.
