Genesis has released a teaser for the production GV60 Magma and scheduled its full debut for November 20. Marking the brand’s 10th anniversary, the car has already completed a broad test program across diverse climates.

While shooting a commercial in Spain, a camo-free prototype was spotted. It wore a pronounced rear spoiler, enlarged front air intakes, 21-inch wheels, and brake hardware finished in Magma Orange—details that closely echo the concept of the same name. Judging by the sighting, the aero pieces look production-ready rather than show-floor décor.

The company confirmed GV60 Magma testing in Sweden’s cold, California’s heat, the mountains of New Zealand, and on roads across Europe. Final validation took place in Korea, including laps at Inje Speedium to hone high-speed stability and steering response. That range of proving grounds hints at a chassis tuned for real-world demands, not just headline figures.

GV60 Magma will be the brand’s first high-performance electric model. Early information suggests it draws on Hyundai IONIQ 5 N hardware while adopting its own chassis and electronic calibration. Set to join the 2026 crop of new cars, it signals Genesis’ move into the premium performance EV space—an approach that points to serious intent rather than a simple appearance package.
