The Dodge Challenger continues to sell in the U.S. despite production ending in late 2023. In the first quarter of 2026, 45 units of this model were sold. For comparison, over 900 units were sold a year earlier, indicating a gradual depletion of inventory.

This situation isn't unique: a similar trend is seen with the Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X, which have also been discontinued. In 2026, 23 Renegades and 71 Fiat 500Xs were sold. Some dealers previously held significant leftover stock, explaining why sales continue years later.

Interestingly, outdated models sometimes perform comparably or even better than current electric vehicles from Stellantis. For example, the electric Fiat 500e sold only 68 units in the quarter.

Sales of new electric vehicles are also declining: the Dodge Charger Daytona sold 240 cars versus 1,947 a year earlier, and the Jeep Wagoneer S sold 175 versus 2,595.

Against this backdrop, experts note that even older cars can maintain demand if they are cult models. This affects market perception and shows which vehicles remain in demand regardless of age.
