Tesla's Full Self-Driving 14.3 update enhances parking and traffic response
Tesla's FSD 14.3 update improves parking prediction, emergency vehicle response, and traffic light handling. Learn about the latest enhancements in self-driving technology.
Tesla has officially begun rolling out its Full Self-Driving system in the new version 14.3 to participants in its early access program. This update brings a host of improvements.
Parking prediction has been enhanced, now displayed on the map with a P icon. The system's accuracy in selecting parking spots and maneuvering has also been boosted.
Furthermore, the system's response to emergency vehicles, school buses, traffic violators, and other rare vehicles has been improved. Issues related to unintended lane drift and minor cut-ins have been softened.
Beyond that, performance with traffic lights has been refined at complex intersections with signal sections, on turning roads, and during yellow light stops. This comes from training on challenging examples using reinforcement learning, gathered from Tesla vehicles.
It's noted that the neural network encoder for image recognition has been upgraded. This enhances situational understanding in rare cases and poor visibility, improves comprehension of 3D geometry, and expands road sign recognition.
Overall, the Tesla Full Self-Driving update to version 14.3 aims to refine many useful features.
