CUPRA has launched the updated 2026 Born model. The electric hatchback now offers up to 628 km of range, a redesigned exterior, and a starting price of €37,990, strengthening its position against competitors like the MG4.

The refreshed Born features new LED headlights with triangular graphics and the brand's signature shark-nose design. At the rear, the taillights are now connected and include an illuminated logo.

Inside, drivers get a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch Android-based infotainment system. Physical buttons have returned to the steering wheel, while cabin materials have been upgraded and rear-seat air vents have been added.

The base version delivers 190 horsepower and a 58 kWh battery, providing up to 482 km of range. The mid-spec model offers 231 horsepower and a 79 kWh battery, good for up to 625 km. The top-tier Born VZ packs 326 horsepower, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, and can travel up to 628 km on a charge.

Pricing starts at €37,990 for the base model, with the mid-spec version at €41,990 and the VZ at €49,040. All prices include marketing discounts and basic costs.

CUPRA is focusing on extending range and refining the user experience. The 2026 Born emerges as a more mature product, transitioning from a mere image-focused electric car to a genuine contender in the mass-market segment.
