Ford has revealed updates to the Ranger Black edition for the South American market, bringing a range of enhancements to this special series.
The Ranger Black remains an all-wheel-drive exclusive. It sets itself apart from the XLS trim with dark gray and black exterior accents, including the grille, mirror housings, door handles, sport bumper, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
This dark theme continues inside, where a black interior features a leather-wrapped steering wheel and headrests bearing Henry Ford's famous quote about the color black. Other notable features include an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch central touchscreen with SYNC 4, a built-in 4G modem, and various safety systems.
Under the hood, the Ranger Black is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged Panther diesel engine, producing 170 horsepower and 405 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque. It's paired with a new six-speed manual transmission and offers a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 kilograms (7,716 pounds).
The updated Ranger Black is available in two colors: black pearl and silver metallic. The vehicle is now open for orders in South America.
