The 1965 Victory Edition aims to bridge MINI's victorious past with its modern push toward electrification. This new model is based on the John Cooper Works E, the high-performance version of the electric J01 hatchback. It features a 49.2 kWh battery (54.2 kWh total capacity) and a front electric motor delivering 258 horsepower (255 hp or 190 kW) with 350 Nm of torque.

With this setup, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, reaches a top speed of 200 km/h, and offers a WLTP range of 371 km on a full charge. AC charging maxes out at 11 kW, taking 5 hours and 15 minutes for a 0-100% charge. For faster charging, DC capability provides up to 95 kW, allowing the battery to go from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

While the electric and mechanical components remain unchanged, the 1965 Victory Edition stands out with several design touches. First, the vibrant red bodywork—a nod to the race car's color—is accented by a sporty white stripe running from the hood to the rear, and the hardtop with a sunroof is also finished in white.

On the sides, the number "52" is prominently displayed, referencing the car that won the 1965 rally. This white graphic is complemented by subtle "1965" decals on the rear pillars. Additionally, instead of the standard JCW Lap Spoke wheels, this model rides on black 18-inch JCW Mastery Spoke alloys.

Inside, the door sills remind occupants of the historic victory, and the cabin is upholstered in JCW anthracite-red tones. Further tributes include a "1965" inscription on the steering wheel and the central console storage compartment. Even the key fob is unique to this edition, featuring the race number #52.

The MINI 1965 Victory Edition carries a recommended retail price of 230,888 Malaysian ringgit, excluding insurance. This includes a standard two-year warranty. Opting for the MINI Service and Repair Inclusive (MSRI) package extends the warranty to four years and adds a four-year service plan, raising the total to 237,188 ringgit.
