Chery Exlantix ES GT: electric shooting brake with 540 horsepower
Chery unveils the Exlantix ES GT electric shooting brake at the Beijing Auto Show. With 540 hp, 600 km range, and premium features, it rivals Porsche and Audi in Europe.
Chery continues its push into the premium segment with the debut of the new electric Exlantix ES GT. The model will make its first appearance at the Beijing Auto Show, marking a significant step in the brand's European expansion. Designed as a shooting brake, it's based on the ES sedan but features a more dynamic silhouette with a sloping roofline. The design shows clear European influence, including from Porsche, particularly in the rear with its wide LED light bar, according to SPEEDME.RU.
Technical specifications take center stage. The dual-motor powertrain delivers 540 horsepower, putting it on par with premium rivals. An estimated range of around 600 kilometers is expected, while comfort and handling are managed by an air suspension and adaptive dampers.
The interior has also been refined, with improved ergonomics, ambient lighting, and enhanced rear-seat transformation capabilities. This makes the ES GT not just fast but practical as well. Launching in Europe will be a key milestone for Exlantix, as the model directly targets vehicles like the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo and Audi e-tron GT, offering comparable performance at a potentially more accessible price point.
Chinese brands are no longer playing catch-up—they're starting to set the terms. If Exlantix can maintain a balance of price and quality, German competitors will have real cause for concern.
