Toyota Australia remains satisfied with its hybrid compact crossover C-HR, despite low sales figures and ongoing import duties.

According to new car sales data from Australia, 406 units of the Turkish-built Toyota C-HR were sold from January to March 2026, representing a 46.9% drop compared to the same period last year.

Currently, it's one of Toyota's least popular models in Australia. However, the company has no immediate plans to withdraw it from the Australian market.

John Pappas, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Franchising at Toyota Australia, stated the brand is pleased with the C-HR hybrid's sales performance. He confirmed that the launch of the C-HR BEV electric vehicle will not occur before mid-2027 at this stage.
