Vagabund has successfully added distinctive design elements to the MINI Countryman, authentically reflecting its personality, design philosophy, and community spirit. MINI provides the platform, while Vagabund brings its creative signature. The result is two charismatic vehicles that reveal the versatility and openness of the MINI Countryman in a new light.

Thanks to a thoughtful audio system, graphic accents, and a bold color concept, the cars themselves become moving sound stages. The Melting Silver vehicle features sand-white body details that are playful, graphic, and light. The Midnight Black vehicle presents a deliberate contrast—monochrome black, crisp, and technological. This contrast enhances the perception of the cars and creates an overall impression that only becomes obvious when viewing both vehicles side by side.

Characteristically modified wheel arches visually widen the track and give the cars an even more striking appearance. The front bumper mounting ensures a harmonious connection between the fenders and the original front bumper. The front and rear bumpers are painted to match the color of the additional body elements, and the radiator grille has been appropriately altered. On the side sills, the word VAGABUND is positioned as a three-dimensional element.

Increased ground clearance further emphasizes the off-road character of the two MINI Countryman S ALL4 models. Additionally, they are fitted with 20-inch wheels featuring intentionally enclosed 3D-printed hubcaps, which give the wheels a muscular look and evoke clear associations with speakers.

The roof rack consists of three laser-cut aluminum plates folded in an accordion style, with an integrated stainless steel mesh serving as an open surface. This design visually echoes the style of speaker protective grilles, creating a link between the roof, side profile, and overall vehicle design, and making the roof rack an integral part of it.

The rear side windows have been removed and replaced with a specially developed sound system designed for outdoor sound transmission during public events. At its core is a new speaker housing made from cast polymer granite—a material that provides ideal conditions for precise and clean sound reproduction.

Tweeters and mid-range speakers are integrated directly into the body, while additional subwoofers in the rear provide powerful sound when the tailgate is opened. Each car operates as an individual sound system, but together, both MINI Countryman show cars form a mobile stage that creates a fully immersive effect.

On the opposite side of the vehicle, a special detail can be seen: an iconic Walkman player, built into a 3D-printed housing. The combination of analog nostalgia and modern construction highlights the experimental nature of the entire concept.

The joint project between MINI and Vagabund demonstrates how MINI maintains its historic commitment to individualization in the future: through bold design interpretations and culture-related themes, such as music. The result is inspiring unique specimens that reveal the potential of the MINI Countryman in new ways. One of the two unique MINI vehicles will be presented to the public for the first time at the Auto China 2026 exhibition in Beijing.
