BMW M Performance Frozen Edition: matte finishes and carbon fiber details
Discover BMW's new M Performance Frozen Edition series for Japan, featuring matte paint, carbon fiber elements, and special interiors on X1, X3, and M340i models.
BMW has introduced a special Frozen Edition series for its M Performance models in the Japanese market. The lineup includes the X1 M35i, X3 M50, and the M340i sedan and wagon. All versions feature Individual matte paint in either Frozen Black or Frozen Pure Grey.
The key highlight is the use of matte body finishes and carbon fiber elements. Specifically, the cars come with carbon fiber mirror housings and fuel filler caps. Darkened trim and special alloy wheels are also part of the package: 20-inch for the X1, 21-inch for the X3, and 19-inch for the M340i.
Inside, the cabin uses Veganza artificial leather with Alcantara inserts and contrast stitching. The M340i gets Vernasca genuine leather. Standard equipment includes a heated steering wheel and seats, along with additional options not available on regular versions.
Pricing for the X1 M35i Frozen Edition is around 8.74 million yen, the X3 M50 at 11.48 million yen, the M340i sedan at 11.09 million yen, and the wagon at 11.44 million yen. Orders are now open, with deliveries set to begin soon.
