2027 Ford Expedition gets wireless charging and updates
The 2027 Ford Expedition reintroduces wireless charging, available on select trims like King Ranch. Explore new features, trims, and the 30th Anniversary Package.
Ford has updated its full-size Expedition SUV for the 2027 model year, reintroducing a wireless smartphone charging feature that was missing from the 2026 version. However, this option is not available across all trim levels.
The wireless charging comes standard on the King Ranch trim. For Platinum and Tremor models, it is offered as part of the optional Driver's Package. The feature is not available on the base Active trim. The charging pad is located in the center console area, and all versions retain USB ports for charging devices.
Other equipment changes have been made to the model. The SecuriCode keyless entry system is no longer standard but remains an option for several trims. Meanwhile, Ford has brought back rear-wheel drive for some versions, including the King Ranch and Platinum.
Additionally, a 30th Anniversary Package has been introduced, featuring unique design elements and a new exterior color called Blue Ember Metallic.
