At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, Volkwagen unveiled three new crossovers: the Tayron L PHEV, Tiguan L Pro, and Teramont Pro. Based on the exhibition, the brand is clearly targeting the most popular segments of the Chinese market—mid-size and large SUVs.

The Volkswagen Tayron L PHEV measures 4,695 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. This plug-in hybrid uses a 1.5-liter engine, and its claimed fuel consumption on the WLTC cycle is 1.02 L/100 km. Curb weight is 1,882 kg.

The Volkswagen Tiguan L Pro was shown in the 380TSI R-Line Highline 4Motion trim. It has a length of 4,735 mm and the same 2,791 mm wheelbase. Power comes from a 2.0-liter engine with 162 kW and 350 Nm of torque, matched to a 7-speed DSG automatic and all-wheel drive. Cargo capacity ranges from 471 to 1,696 liters.

The range-topper is the Volkswagen Teramont Pro. This SUV reaches 5,158 mm in length with a 2,980 mm wheelbase. The 450TSI 4Motion R-Line variant features a 2.0-liter engine good for 200 kW and 400 Nm, also paired with a 7-speed DSG. Luggage space varies from 286 to 2,427 liters.
