Lancia revives rally program: Ypsilon Rally2 HF set for WRC2 2026, Ypsilon HF EV and Gamma plans revealed
Lancia returns to rallying with Ypsilon Rally2 HF for WRC2 2026 under Stellantis Motorsport. Also unveiled: 280 hp Ypsilon HF EV and 2026 Gamma on STLA Medium.
Lancia announced its return to rallying, unveiling the new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale at the Stellantis Motorsport hub. The model is slated to enter the WRC2 championship in 2026. The program brings together engineering teams in Satory, Balocco and Turin, while a broadened HF lineup includes the Ypsilon Rally2 HF, Rally4 HF and Ypsilon HF Racing, available via the Stellantis Motorsport Racing Shop. A 2026 start also leaves room to refine the package before the flag drops.

The company also showed the electric Ypsilon HF with 280 hp, a 0–100 km/h time of 5.6 seconds, a 54 kWh battery and an estimated range of about 370 km. The car features Alcon brakes, a Torsen differential and a Level 2 ADAS suite. The Ypsilon HF Line brings sporty design cues to mainstream versions. On paper, the spec promises brisk pace without abandoning everyday polish.
CEO Roberta Zerbi said production of the new Gamma would begin after the summer of 2026. The flagship will sit on the STLA Medium platform and be offered with hybrid and fully electric powertrains, including an all-wheel-drive Gamma HF. Pairing the platform with both power options looks like a grounded strategy, with the HF variant underscoring the performance angle.
