Algovia Vans has introduced the Escape 540, a compact camper based on vans from the Stellantis family – the Opel Movano, Fiat Ducato, Citroen Jumper, or Peugeot Boxer.

The Escape 540’s standout feature is its rear-kitchen layout. Unlike most campers in this class, the galley is positioned at the back rather than along the side wall. It includes a two-burner gas hob with a glass lid, a sink with a fold-down tap, and a 90-litre compressor fridge. Opening the rear doors turns it into an almost outdoor cooking space.

Inside, a compact dining area is created by swiveling the front seats around. The rear bench has Isofix mounts, and the table folds away. The main transverse bed measures approximately 193 by 140 cm. A pop-up roof adds two more berths, giving the camper a total sleeping capacity of up to six people.

Standard equipment includes a 105 Ah AGM auxiliary battery, USB-C ports, 230-volt sockets, and a CEE power hook-up. A Truma Combi 4 D diesel system handles both heating and hot water. The fresh-water tank holds 112 litres, while the grey-water tank has a 90-litre capacity.
