Toyota continues to solidify its footing in the midsize SUV segment, where demand for the brand’s models is climbing. With the Tacoma holding steady—more than 204,000 units over the first three quarters—interest in the new 4Runner is surging as well: October sales were up 300 percent year over year.

Riding that momentum, tuners are already rolling out their own takes on the latest off-roaders. One example is a reworked Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road from Hawaii-based MJ Motorsports. The build features a three-inch Eibach Stage 2R lift kit, which enhances its off-road capability and increases ground clearance.

Visually, the SUV sticks to a classic white finish, paired with an aerodynamic roof rack and an amber LED light bar. It wears Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT tires sized 295/70 R18 and gray Work Wheels Meister S1 rims—a combination that looks purposeful rather than flashy.

The shop is also working with other Toyota models, including the Tacoma, which remains a popular choice among buyers and often comes up in best-off-road comparisons. Given the current mood of the market, that focus feels entirely logical.
