The 2026 BMW M2 CS brings a slew of upgrades over the standard M2. It's more powerful, lighter, and quicker.
At the heart of the changes is a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six. Output climbs to 523 hp and 649 Nm of torque. Mated to an eight-speed automatic, the coupe hits 100 km/h in roughly 3.7 seconds.
BMW has also retuned the suspension and chassis. New dampers, revised steering, and an updated stability control system sharpen the handling. Despite tipping the scales at around 1,710 kg, the M2 CS feels noticeably more agile and track-ready.
Carbon fiber helps cut weight and improve aerodynamics. The roof, trunk lid, mirror caps, and aero bits are all made from the lightweight material. As a result, the CS sheds about 44 kg compared to the standard model.
Even with the performance focus, daily usability remains intact. The rear seats are still there, along with a heated steering wheel and heated seats. The comfort suspension setting is perfectly fine for city driving.
Inside, the M2 CS features a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 14.9-inch infotainment screen, a head-up display, and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Overall, the new M2 CS continues the trend of emotionally engaging sports cars that blend track capability with real-world practicality.
