Subaru is doing something that looks almost defiant in 2026 — leaving the price exactly where it was. Subaru of America has announced pricing for the 2027 Subaru Uncharted electric crossover, and the base Premium FWD still starts at $34,995. Not a dollar more than the model that debuted earlier this year. U.S. sales kick off this fall.
The Uncharted remains the most affordable EV in Subaru’s lineup. And the hardware is anything but entry-level: a 74.7 kWh battery, an NACS port for North American chargers, and DC fast charging up to 150 kW. Ten to 80 percent? Just 28 minutes. NACS access alone opens the door to more than 25,000 charging stations across North America.
The catch is the drivetrain. The base Subaru Uncharted Premium FWD makes do with a single 221 hp motor on the front axle and stretches to 308 miles of range. That sounds almost too good for a budget EV. Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is reserved for the Sport and GT trims: two motors, a combined 338 hp — but the fun comes at a cost. Range drops to 287 and 273 miles respectively.
Even the base spec looks suspiciously generous. A 14-inch multimedia screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the EyeSight driver-assist suite, heated front seats, heated mirrors and a wiper de-icer come standard. The Sport trim is priced from $39,795 and throws in all-wheel drive, roof rails, a surround-view camera and a power tailgate. The range-topping Uncharted GT goes for $43,795: panoramic roof, ventilated front seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, 20-inch wheels and a digital rearview mirror.
