Mercedes-Benz will unveil the new GLA on July 29, 2026 in Warsaw — on MMA, 800 V architecture and up to 320 kW charging. Electric first, hybrid M252 follows in 2027.

Mercedes-Benz is gearing up for the world premiere of the new GLA — and the stage it picked is anything but predictable. The production compact crossover will make its public debut on July 29, 2026 in Warsaw. The Polish capital becomes one of the stops on the 140 PLACES route — a round-the-world journey of the new S-Class celebrating 140 years of the brand.

Under the skin sits the MMA platform, the same architecture Mercedes already uses for the CLA and GLB. The platform was designed for two scenarios at once: full electrics and hybrids. At launch — pure electric only. The petrol hybrid with the 4-cylinder M252 engine joins the party later, in 2027.

Technically the newcomer leans heavily on the CLA and GLB — and that’s good news. The electric versions get an 800-volt architecture, charging up to 320 kW, a 2-speed gearbox on the rear axle, and two battery options: an 85 kWh NMC pack and a more affordable 58 kWh LFP. The flagship is set to be the GLA 350 4MATIC with dual motors and 354 hp — basically a hot hatch in crossover clothing.
