At the 2025 Essen Motor Show, the TUNE IT! SAFE! initiative unveiled the Steeda Q500 Ford Mustang GT Fastback in full police livery. The project is a clear demonstration of how performance tuning can stay within strict legal boundaries. Ford supplied the base Mustang GT, while FIEGEPERFORMANCE handled the bespoke work. The car features a reinforced chassis, adjustable anti-roll bars, a lowered suspension, and a suite of upgrades focused on safety and stability. The result leans into function over flash, which suits the brief perfectly.

The car rides on ultra-high-performance Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 tires mounted to lightweight Barracuda wheels, trimming unsprung mass and sharpening suspension response. FOLIATEC created the police-inspired look: a silver wrap set off by blue and yellow accents. A Hänsch light system completes the setup with beacons, front and intersection strobes, and rear warning lights. The visual package is unmistakable without tipping into show-car excess, and the lighting underscores the project’s road-legal message.
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 rated at 446 hp and 540 Nm, launching the Mustang to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. Steeda’s hardware includes subframe braces, anti-hop solutions, brake cooling, aerodynamic elements, and strut bracing. On paper, that combination should curb wheel hop, keep the brakes consistent under stress, and lend the Mustang a more planted, confident feel when the pace rises.
