German tuning house G-Power didn’t just refresh the BMW M4 Cabrio of the G83 generation — it squeezed almost 200 extra horses out of it. The GP-700 package pushes the three-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine to 700 hp (515 kW) and 850 Nm. For comparison, the standard M4 Competition xDrive Cabrio makes do with 530 hp and 650 Nm.
The impressive gains come from a remapped engine control unit, sport downpipes, a carbon intake, removal of the top-speed limiter and a decorative engine cover. The previously showcased 700-hp G4M Bi-Turbo also wore a Deeptone exhaust and HJS downpipes, with a claimed top speed of 310 km/h.
This kind of thrill doesn’t come cheap: the GP-700 is priced at 15,852 euros. For those who want even more, the GP-800 delivers 800 hp and 900 Nm — but for 29,988 euros. And for a gentler start, there’s the GP-600: 600 hp, 750 Nm and a far friendlier price tag of 3,090 euros.
Even the base price isn’t the final bill. Installation, tuning and paperwork for the modifications may cost extra. Road approval for the components in Germany doesn’t automatically make them legal elsewhere, and tampering with the engine and exhaust can affect the factory warranty.
