Around 500 examples of the legendary “duck” are set to gather in one place — a sight you won’t catch every day, even in France. The German town of Kropp, tucked between the North and Baltic Seas, will host the eleventh international meeting of Citroen 2CV fans from July 29 to August 2, 2026. The organizers’ official website confirms both the venue and the five-day schedule.
Organizers expect around 700 participants from 12 European countries. For comparison, the previous German meeting in 2024 drew 728 cars from 17 nations. So no record this time — but the gathering will still rank among the largest 2CV meets in Europe.
The program promises to be packed: off-road orienteering, a parts market, concerts and plenty of face time with fellow classic-car owners. Day visitors get in free, no registration required — though they’ll have to leave their own car outside the campsite.
Anyone hoping to spend all five days with their beloved “duck”, though, will need to pay up. The registration fee for the Citroen 2CV and related A-series models is €130, and a shorter stay won’t lower the price — it already covers a camping spot and the entire entertainment program.
Citroen unveiled the 2CV in 1948, and production ran all the way to 1990. Decades later, owners still take these cars on trips spanning hundreds, even thousands of kilometers — not for cheap transport anymore, but to keep a living piece of car culture alive.
