Ford itself modestly calls the option simply “Console Vault” — not a word about what it’s actually built to store: firearms. But the manufacturer, a company that shares the name Console Vault, has long held official licensed partner status with Ford. This isn’t some no-name eBay mod — it’s a factory-backed accessory.
Thick cold-rolled steel, bolted into the lower part of the factory console — and suddenly the contents aren’t so easy to get at. Buyers can pick a keyed lock, a 3- or 4-digit combination, or, for the extra cautious, an electronic version. The maker promises resistance to drilling and pry-bar attacks. And installing it yourself? Barely a project: 10–15 minutes, and the safe is in.
The accessory fits the 2025–2026 Ford Expedition. There’s a catch, though: reaching the lower compartment means sliding the upper part of the console — and that only works with the ignition on. So even getting to the safe takes an extra step.
