While half the industry is squeezing engines down to three cylinders, Chevrolet has done the exact opposite. The full-size Suburban Z71 for the 2026 model year has officially landed in Colombia — nearly six meters long, with a naturally aspirated V8 under the hood. It will be sold by order only, at a recommended price of 409.99 million Colombian pesos, roughly 127,500 dollars at the July 23 exchange rate.
The engine is the EcoTec3 V8 with 5.3 liters of displacement: 355 hp and 519 Nm. It works with a 10-speed automatic, and the all-wheel-drive system comes with a low range. There are four drive modes — Normal, Sport, Off-Road and Trailer. And here is the number for anyone who tows: 3719 kg on the hook.
The Z71 badge here is not a sticker on the fender. The version gets all-terrain tires, 20-inch wheels, skid plates for the engine and radiator, two recovery hooks and air suspension that varies ride height by up to 70 mm. Inside there is an 11.1-inch digital instrument panel and a 17.7-inch central display with Google Built-In — maps and the voice assistant work without a smartphone.
In Colombia the Suburban Z71 is offered with a warranty of up to five years or 100,000 km.
