No concepts. No slowly spinning turntables under studio lights. Suzuki is taking five production cars straight to a lakeshore — and setting up its stand exactly where these cars spend their weekends. The five-door Jimny Nomade and four more models will line up at the GO OUT CAMP Inawashiro vol. 12 festival, running from 31 July to 2 August 2026 at the Tenjinhama campsite on the shore of Lake Inawashiro in Japan’s Fukushima Prefecture.
Joining the Nomade are the Hustler kei crossover, the Every Wagon people carrier and the new XBee — all three wearing genuine accessories. The fifth spot goes to the Super Carry in X Limited trim with HARD CARGO equipment: for this kei truck Suzuki offers cargo systems and other add-ons built for a life split between work and play.
And here is the interesting part: none of this is showroom theatre. Every one of the five cars is on sale in Japan right now, and almost all of them have been updated in recent months. The Jimny Nomade went on sale in its new specification on 1 July — the only five-door in the Jimny family gained the Dual Sensor Brake Support II automatic braking suite, a lane-keeping function and adaptive cruise control that works across the full speed range, though only on the version with the four-speed automatic. Both gearboxes carry the same sticker: 2,926,000 yen, roughly 17,900 dollars. And remember how the model’s debut went — around 50,000 orders in four days against a plan of 1200 cars a month, order books slammed shut, and reopened only a year later with a lottery instead of a queue.
The rest are just as fresh. The Hustler was updated on 27 May: a new face, an electric parking brake with auto hold and the same DSBS II system across the range. The Every Wagon changed its front end on 8 May, adding a dark cabin, a digital speedometer, a 9-inch infotainment screen with an all-round camera and a wider set of driver aids. And the XBee is the one that walked away from its 1.0-litre turbo in October 2025 in favour of the new naturally aspirated 1.2 Z12E with a mild hybrid and a CVT — economy climbed from 18.2 to 22.8 km per litre on the WLTC cycle, or roughly from 5.5 to 4.4 litres per 100 km. So the stand turns into a rare chance to compare fresh production Suzukis in their natural habitat, among tents rather than in a sterile hall. Entry is by ticket, with elementary schoolchildren and younger admitted free, and the organisers may still change the line-up.
It was previously reported that a Suzuki SJ410 received a 9 hp electric motor and a range of up to 48 km.
