Lexus has opened pre-orders for the RZ 500e—its first fully electric vehicle for the Brazilian market. The model is priced at 499,990 reais, with deliveries slated for the second quarter of 2026. The newcomer is built on the e-TNGA platform, which the company is developing as part of its global electrification strategy. The timeline suggests a measured rollout, yet the intent is unmistakable.

The RZ 500e was developed under the direction of Toyota president Koji Sato and engineer Takashi Shimoyama. Its Spindle Body design focuses on improved aerodynamics and new, slimmer headlights. Brazil also gets exclusive 20-inch wheels—a small but telling nod to local tastes that adds visual punch.

Inside, the cabin follows an “inside-out” philosophy, offering power-adjustable seats, plant-based Ultra Suede materials, a panoramic roof with adjustable transparency, and ambient lighting with projected patterns. The mix reads upscale yet responsible, and the dimmable roof should make everyday use more comfortable.

The electric crossover uses two motors with a combined output of 381 hp, teams them with the Direct4 all-wheel-drive system, and does 0–100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. A 77 kWh battery delivers up to 600 km of WLTP urban range and supports charging at up to 150 kW. On paper, that balance of pace and range looks well-judged.

The Lexus RZ 500e also comes with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 and carries a warranty of up to 10 years. Entering the market as one of the standout debuts among 2026 newcomers, it arrives with the kind of specification that should resonate with buyers looking to go electric.
