Nobody expected a revolution — and nobody got one. Instead, Maserati delivered a centenary celebration with real muscle: the Trident rolled out the updated GranTurismo, GranCabrio and Grecale for a dynamic debut in Trieste, the very city where the brand claimed its first-ever motorsport victory at the Targa Florio a hundred years ago. International test drives ran from July 12 to 25, 2026, with part of the route retracing the legendary Trieste–Opicina hillclimb, nicknamed the “Uphill Monza,” where Maserati won three times — in 1955, 1957 and 1960. More than 100 journalists from around the world got behind the wheel of the updated models.
The real drama is under the hood. The GranTurismo Trofeo and GranCabrio Trofeo now pack a 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 that’s gained another 40 horses, bringing total output to 590 hp and 650 Nm of torque. The payoff: a top speed worth popping champagne for — the GranTurismo Trofeo can exceed 320 km/h. For those who’d rather keep things a touch calmer, Maserati also offers a milder 490-hp version.
Both the coupe and the convertible get all-wheel drive and height-adjustable air suspension as standard — no extra cost involved. And the SUV? The Grecale Trofeo packs a 530-hp V6, sprints to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and tops out at 285 km/h. The Grecale V6 and Modena V6 versions get a more modest but still punchy 390-hp engine.
